“Firestarter” is the soundtrack album for the 1984 film of the same name, composed by the German electronic music band Tangerine Dream. The film, directed by Mark L. Lester, is based on Stephen King’s novel and features Drew Barrymore as the young girl with pyrokinetic abilities.

The lineup of Tangerine Dream at the time of recording the “Firestarter” soundtrack included Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke, and Johannes Schmoelling. These three members were integral to the band during the 1980s.
